Financial Controller

The Financial Controller has the overall responsibility for timely planning, controlling, and directing the accounting and financial reporting systems, asset/liability management, budgeting, and funds management. The Controller will report directly to the President and will work closely with the senior leadership team to strategically grow and enhance the Mobius operation.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all corporate accounting functions, to include all fiscal period close processes, financial reporting, internal controls, annual audit processes and management reporting.
  • Construct monthly financial dashboards to provide a view of overall financial health to executive leadership team.
  • Create monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.  Fully own period-end review and account reconciliation, month, and year-end close and financial statements production process.
  • Manage production of, and monthly monitoring of, annual operating budgets and forecasts.
  • Build and grow cross functional relationships to collaboratively resolve month-end issues and solve process efficiencies.
  • Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings and collections.
  • Manage daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of the company‚Äôs annual operation budget.
  • Partner with senior leadership on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and general financial and accounting practices, policies, and procedures.
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • Advanced credentials such as Certified Public Accountant/CPA a plus but not required.
  • At least 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller is preferred.
  • Effective communicator, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and organization.
  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems.
