Role and Responsibilities
Daron Bertillion is a senior commodity risk executive and market strategist with more than 25 years of experience trading, structuring, and executing risk management strategies across global energy markets. As part of Mobius Risk Group’s Financial Execution Desk, Daron leads the development and live-market execution of sophisticated hedge strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients navigating volatile commodity environments.
Recognized for his deep market knowledge and disciplined execution, Daron has built a career at the intersection of trading, risk management, and strategic advisory. His expertise spans crude oil, natural gas, derivatives structuring, futures execution, and client-focused hedging solutions designed to protect margins and optimize financial performance.
Prior to rejoining Mobius Risk Group in 2021, Daron founded and served as Owner and Managing Partner of Brisslen Capital Management, a commodity-focused hedge fund specializing in crude oil and natural gas futures trading. Under his leadership, the firm actively traded energy markets using highly disciplined discretionary and macro-driven strategies.
Before launching Brisslen Capital Management, Daron traded natural gas futures for Cypress Energy Capital Management, a Houston-based energy hedge fund where he further developed his reputation for market insight, execution precision, and risk management expertise.
Earlier in his career, Daron worked on the origination desk of an independent mortgage bank in Houston before transitioning into the energy sector, where he quickly established himself as a respected market participant within the commodity trading space.

Community & Personal Leadership
Outside of the markets, Daron remains actively involved in mentoring and community leadership. He is a former University of Houston baseball player and continues to give back through youth sports as a Little League coach, bringing the same competitive discipline, preparation, and leadership mindset from the trading floor to the field.
